We create experiences that lead to conversations, connections, and community

Where women meet through shared experiences.

A table where strangers become familiar faces.

Seated with Strangers creates intimate, curated gatherings that make room for connections. From shared meals to guided conversations, every experience is designed to help women slow down, show up, and meet each other in meaningful ways.

At the heart of it all, Seated with Strangers is a reminder that we aren’t meant to do life alone.

Be Seated with Us

In a world where digital connections are so common, seated with strangers felt like a big refreshing hug — reminding me of the power of face-to-face connections. I highly recommend this experience and can’t wait to attend future events!”

Continue the Conversation

For many women, the dinner table is just the beginning.

Our private community is a space where conversations continue and connections have room to grow over time. It’s designed for women who want to stay engaged, show up consistently, and experience community beyond a single gathering.

Inside you’ll find monthly meetups, shared experiences, travel opportunities, and Corporate Strangers conversations centered around career and growth.

A place to remain curious, connected, and open to what unfolds.

Meet the Founder

Shivawn Mitchell is a communicator, facilitator, filmmaker, and two time author who creates human-centered experiences rooted in presence, storytelling, and connection.

Her work has been featured on PBS, Amazon Prime, and Essence Festival, and through Seated with Strangers she has brought women together across the country through curated conversations and shared experiences.

Seated with Strangers is her way of creating the spaces she once needed. Places where women feel seen, supported and invited to belong.
